Nvidia problem with direct rendering (help me)

Hi to all guys. I have a big problem with direct rendering. I have installed the latest driver nvidia (i have a geforce4mx 440 128 Mb, tv-out) and it seems that all proceed fine, the nvidia logo appears when i start X. I tried to install ut2004, all gone ok but when i'm going to execute ut it is very very very slow. So i tried to do a glxinfo | grep rendering and this one is disabled.
I tried a lot of things to resolve this problem, but nothing. I have a slackware 10.2 with 2.4.31 kernel (i have no time to compile a new kernel). I think that when i installed the audio with alsa it has corrupted the modules.conf of the nvidia installer. Do you know a possible solution???
I post you, the xorg.conf (the version of Xorg is the 6.8.x) the modules.conf, and the nvidia-bug-report log. I hope you know what i have to do!!

if you don't know a solution please tell me how to unistall the nvidia driver, so i try to reinstall it (also if this solution is very "winzoz like," and i don't appreciate it very much).
In the attachments there is the nvidia-bug-report.log.

Does seem weird, everything in the logs indicate that everything should be fine, however some info was not gathered. Could you try and post the output of "ldd /usr/bin/glxinfo"?.
It certainly seems to be a linking problem, did you install mesa drivers after the nvidia driver?

@conqueror: judging from the `glxinfo` output, both client and server-side GLX, as well as libGL are Mesa's, not NVIDIA's; have you tried reinstalling the driver using the NVIDIA .run package?

i resolved it (direct rendering), with a re-installation of the drivers, but now i have another problem. With ut2004 i have this error "Could not load opengl library", instead with other applications like blender, or with other games as ppracer (very fun game) the situation is better than before. I tried to install the 76.76 but i have the same problem.

i resolved also this problem. If you have the same problem you had only to add this line at the begin of the ut2004 script that is in the program folder you had installed ut.

export LD_PRELOAD=libGL.so.1
