Debian amd64 - GeForce 6600GT - Path to kernel source
Hi
i`ve try compile driver and get error about: path to kernel source is bad. i used --kernel-source-path (or sth like that) & somethink is wrong when i use /usr or /usr/ script said not exists by when i use /usr/include/linux/ script change it to /usr/include/linux//include/linux so ive used /usr/include/linux/../../ & everythink is ok but i cant build kernel module http://tkdami.net/~djack/logi/nvidia-installer.log This is log when i used /usr/include/linux/../../ as path to kernel sources |
Re: Debian amd64 - GeForce 6600GT - Path to kernel source
/usr/include/linux/../../ is the same as /usr. I'm guessing that you don't have your kernel source in /usr.
Please post the installer log that results from running the nvidia installer without the --kerenl-source-path option. Thanks, Lonni |
Re: Debian amd64 - GeForce 6600GT - Path to kernel source
Re
I know its the same ... as u wish no --kernel-source-path http://tkdami.net/~djack/logi/nvidia-installer_3.log path as /usr/include/linux/../../ http://tkdami.net/~djack/logi/nvidia-installer.log path as /usr/include/linux/ http://tkdami.net/~djack/logi/nvidia-installer_1.log here error is /usr/include/linux//include/linux and 3rd path as /usr http://tkdami.net/~djack/logi/nvidia-installer_2.log dunno why /usr doesn`t work kernel sources was 2.6.8-11 today in amd was update so next kernel sources it will be 2.6.8-16 but its l8et |
Re: Debian amd64 - GeForce 6600GT - Path to kernel source
The kernel source is traditionally installed somewhere under /usr/src. I've never seen it installed under /usr/include.
Please provide the output from the following commands: uname -a ls -l /lib/modules/`uname -r` ls /usr/src/ Thanks, Lonni |
