HP zv5000 with Amd 3000 1.5Gb ram and Geforce Go 440, kernel sources are installed. /var/log/nvidia_installer.log attached. Suse 10.1.rc4 32bit.

ok I must be missing something while doing the patch



# sh /path/to/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8178-pkg1.run --extract-only
# cd NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8178-pkg1
# patch -p0 < /path/to/NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-8178-U012206.diff.txt
# ./nvidia-installer -n

so on the command line i type

sh /root/Nvidia......pkg1.run --extract-only, then cd to new dir that was created. Then typing :

patch -p0 /root/Nvidia*****.diff.txt does nothing but sits spinning its wheels.

Is there a prepatched installer pre built for x86 AMD athlon 64 running 32bit?

Your patch command is missing the < symbol.

Is this the kernel that is part of Suse 10.1.rc4 ?
