An Issue With "Hot Deals"

I don't know what the opinion is of other people, and maybe I'm just partially retarded. Ok, maybe I'm severely retarded, but that's for another thread.

I'm under the belief that the "Hot Deals" forum is hurting the FS/FT forum. I don't usually go into the FS/FT forum just looking around. From time to time I do, but not usually. What used to get me to go in there, was the fact that the most recent post was visible from the main forum page. I would see something interesting (and a darn good deal) and want to take a look. Ever since the Hot Deals forum was introduced, most of the "most recent posts" tend to come from that forum overtaking the FS/FT threads. I haven't been lured into a FS/FT thread since the Hot Deals forum was put there.

Just to be clear, I love the Hot Deals forum! It rocks! I just don't want the other forum to have it's lure taken away. Maybe I'm just being wierd, but this is the appearance of the situation to me. Anyone else agree?

well i think the greater appeal to "hot deals" is that its new stuff for cheap. instead of used stuff for cheap. :)

maybe not having hot deals a sub-forum would help.. ? whats your idea?

I agree about having the new stuff cheap. I just have a soft spot for the place since I've bought and sold so much on it!

I'm not sure if having the hot deals as it's own forum would help or not. I was just bringing up a problem, don't look at me for a solution! :D

Honestly, the locations where it is now does make the most sense. It wouldn't make too much sense to have it floating somewhere, so I'm not sure what the best thing would be to do, if anything.

So...you still got an issue with Hot Deals now that I just gave you an Elite Pro for the price of a Fatal1ty?

I'm always in the market for a good deal, but I haven't found much in the FS/FT forum that meets my definition of a good deal. Too often the price listed is only slightly below retail on the web, and includes some use, little or no warranty, and often without all of the original accessories. I do not mind paying a little more for the added benefits of a new component.

I don't have an issue with Hot Deals! I have an issue with its location and its overriding of the FS/FT forum.

Smashing good deal, though.
