can't find kernel source tree
I'm trying to install the Nvidia driver and I get the following message after I type make install
%make install ===> src (install) "/usr/share/mk/bsd.kmod.mk", line 12: "can't find kernel source tree" *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/home/Kalital/NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-1.0-8178. I am not sure of the problem I don't have much experiance with Unix problems. |
Re: can't find kernel source tree
You probably don't have it installed.
Follow the instructions on this page (well the first few anyway) to install it and all should be well. http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO...-building.html |
Re: can't find kernel source tree
I ran sysinstall and I cant seem to find an FTP site with 6.0-RELEASE-p4.
I tried the CD I downloaded but there isn't anything under the /usr/src/ directory. |
