the highest quality tv-out possible
After seemingly endless reading, modelines, testing, etc. I want to know the best methods for getting tvout. I use mythtv and I keep reading about how some people use interlacing, some use 800x600, or 720x480, or whatever. But I also want to know how to get the most accurate color and clarity. This is probibly more of an art then a science but I would like to hear some opinions on this, I know there are lots of hardcores in here :D

btw I am in NTSC-land and use a regular TV (not 720/1080/...).

Re: the highest quality tv-out possible
For the color, you can calibrate it with xgamma.
xgamma -gamma
xgamma -rgamma
xgamma -ggamma
xgamma -bgamma
or you can use the nvidia-settings.
