XP Pro wont boot with RHL 8.0 on *other* HDD
Like I said I have XP on a 40GB Barracuda IV (Primary Master) and RHL 8.0 on a Medalist 4.3GB (Sec master).
And XP's progress bar wont stop going round and round..
As soon as I remove the data cable on Linux hdd(while its on. I *know* thats not smart), XP goes right ahead...
But Linux boots fine..
This means if I have to boot into windows, i have to remove the cable..
This has not happened before.. I've had linux on another hdd
Do you have the boot loader (LILO or grub? which one?) installed in the MBR of the primary master?
Have you marked the Win XP partition active?
And Micro$oft is wondering right about now....
Why are all our customers leaving us & running that Linux stuff?!?!?!
This is the very exact reason I started running linux ONLY
But if you are dead set on not letting your Windows free, Go HERE and get yourself a removable bay or two & run them on thier own so one another doesnt even know the other exists
But I suggest getting rid of the monopoly/controlling/power-mongering OS
