7600GS and SLED10?

Im runing on SLED10 RC3 (Suse Linux Enterprise Server); I have 2 7600GS in SLi slots; My first question is their SLi Drivers? And my second is why can't i turn on 3D Acceleration; I install my correct driver via Zen-Installer and i disabled 1card so i can click enable 3D; I hit test; It displays fine i hit Ok Save i restart my x server and its back to being unchecked. Also according to the Nvidia tool all the files that are needed are installed and up to date; Im really vexed and puzzled. Any support would be GREATLY Appreciated

What does "it all gos to hell" mean? Have you tried to install the driver per the instructions in the NVIDIA README?

Ok ive read that readme 1. Nothing about SLi, 2. Nothing about SLED10;

and the error was a bad configured xorg.conf

Re: 7600GS and SLED10?

SLI is documented in the README in appendix W:
http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...ppendix-w.html

The driver installation instructions in the README are generic to any Linux distribution.

If you need further assistance, please post an nvidia-bug-report.log with a description of the problem you're experiencing and how it can be reproduced.

Thanks,
Lonni

Where can i find that log; And when i try doing it the terminal way to install driver i get to half way threw install and get errors with config; Also when i turn on SLi with that command when i reboot; My computer stalls at Windows Manager. Btw i get about 5k frames -> 7k frames with glxgears; and my nvidia config things everything is up to date and installed alright.

Their you go bug report attached; Quick status update: I've used a easter egg to turn on 3d effects; and they work find; Maybe suse just isnt understanding the driver or card? Or im just lucky and their is a quite a big issue underlaying.

I don't see anything wrong in this bug report. What is it that I should be looking for?

Thanks,

Re: 7600GS and SLED10?

Sounds like you are trying to use the SuSE tools to configure the nvidia cards.
DO NOT USE THE SUSE TOOLS FOR THAT PURPOSE!

The Suse tools are broken for both Ati and Nvidia hardware if you use Ati and Nvidia drivers.

Just follow the directions with the driver and you should be in good shape.

So all i need to do is run

nvidia-xconfig --sli=on and everything should run fine after?
