When can I get my hands on the 1.0-9xxx release of the Nvidia drivers?

There have been lots of other threads about it .. Basicly Nvidia never mentions when they release a new set of drivers. They release something when it is done. Most likely a 9xxx release is some time away as 'soon' there will be an updated 8xxx driver with support for the ABI changes in Xorg 7.1.

Really? The reason why I wonder about this is 9xxx for windows already has been released and if nvidia does as they did ... the next release for linux will be 9xxx.

nvidia is commercial, and windows is in first priority, because have more users. But than nvidia still don't support xorg7.1 is a nvidia managers bug :) and at this point it realy s*ck

I think my next platform will be base on intel, i not need fast but not working system, i need working system, and at this moment nvidia don't support linux. This this only my opinion...

The next release will be a 8xxx, not a 9xxx. Someone is either being very slow/lazy or it's purposefully being held back. Because the driver is already done from what i know.

xorg 7.1 released 2006-05-22, now is 2006-08-17. nvidia is late, it is fact. i realy don't wan buy new hardware ant wait more then three month, for drivers...

microsoft must have paid some serious $'s to nvidia for supporting vista's eyecandy first... :barf:

for me this means bye bye nvidia, hello intel for my next pc.
