Can anybody help me to install nvidia display drivers in Mandriva free 2006
 
I am new to linux and i installed Mandriva free 2006 linux.
Its working fine. I would like to install nvidia display drivers.
i have downloaded from the nvidia website.
i dont know what to do with that file.

my system configuration:
AMD Athlon64 3500
Gigabyte motherboard with on board graphics (Geforce 6100)

Once you downladed the nvidia package, you make CTRL+ALT+F1. Once you are logged, in root, you type: service dm stop
then sh Nvidia......run and let you drive.
once all is installed, type service dm start and VIVA la 3D in your linux box
