Best Digital Photo Software?
Just dl'd Picasa 2 and damn...this much power for nothing. I got all my stuff organized the way I want it.
Being this is free, I'm thinking the paid for software offers more tools. I'm not doing anything fancy, nor do I know anything about photo, colors, art etc. I'm an average Joe with my 5MP Canon. I'm looking at: MS Digital Image Suite 2006 Photoshop Elements 5 Both are $100, but what do they offer over Picasa 2? |
Re: Best Digital Photo Software?
Picasa is not even remotely comparable to Photoshop (Elements). Btw, there is a nice (p)review at photo-i : http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/sof...%20PE5/PE5.htm ...
Elements offers most (well, most of what is normally used by the average person) of what Photoshop CS(2) offers, at a much lower price... Picasa is really basic, Photoshop offers you way more control over your pictures. Plus, it can use (almost) all the plugins available for Photoshop CS(2). |
