Can't get Shuttle XPC's on-board dual head to work
Hey all,
See subject. I've got a Shuttle XPC (model SN41G), which has a dual-head graphics card on the mother board, and I'm trying to get 2 1280x1024 LCDs to work on it. Getting one display up and running is easy peasy, but I just can't get the second one to play along. I've got Linux 2.6.14-1.656_FC4 i686 on it now (Yes, I know it's not the latest and greatest), and tried a few versions of the nVidia drivers, which build their own kernel upon installation. However, X bombs out every time I try to get two screens up. I tried loads of different variations in xorg.conf, but can only get one screen to work. What drivers do I need to get both displays off the on-board dual-head card working? |
Re: Can't get Shuttle XPC's on-board dual head to work
nvidia-xconfig -a --twinview
If that doesn't help, then please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log. Thanks, Lonni |
Re: Can't get Shuttle XPC's on-board dual head to work
No, the "nvidia-xconfig -a --twinview" didn't generate a working config either. I have allready spent quite some time fiddling around in xorg.conf, including using the twinview options, but no success.
I can't upload the nvidia-bug-report log file from here, I'll send it to linux-bugs@nvidia.com and refer to this thread. Thanks, wlamee |
Re: Can't get Shuttle XPC's on-board dual head to work
The bug report that you sent to linux-bugs indicates that you're using the nv X driver (not nvidia) and there's no indication that nvidia-xconfig was ever run on this system.
You can attach bug reports here after compressing (zip, gc, bz2, etc) them. |
