XV extension
I have a GeForce2 MX 400 and install the latest driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9629-pkg1.run running FC6.

Now I cannot control brightness, contrast .... from my movie players (xine, mplayer ,vlc..etc). XVinfo produced the following output
number of attributes: 2
"XV_SET_DEFAULTS" (range 0 to 0)
client settable attribute
"XV_SYNC_TO_VBLANK" (range 0 to 1)
client settable attribute
client gettable attribute (current value is 0)
maximum XvImage size: 2046 x 2046
Is there any set up has to be done before the control of brightness, contrast ...etc can be makde possible?

Thanks in advance

Re: XV extension
Post this in one of the Linux forums. The Linux geeks will never find you here! :)

Re: XV extension
Move this to the Linux forum ;-)

Anyway, you can still control these parameters using built-in video filters like eq2. Add vf=eq2 as an option for mplayer, and use Video->Postprocess
->Chain reaction menu to add this filter to xine.
