Mandrake 9.1 (RC 1) problem
I'm trying to get a Geforce 4 440 up and I'm getting this gcc error no matter how I try to install it. NVchooser returns Kernel source and glx rpm. Help please.
Thanks in Advance

You appear to be compiling the NVIDIA kernel module with
a compiler different from the one that was used to compile
the running kernel. This may be perfectly fine, but there
are cases where this can lead to unexpected behaviour and
If you know what you are doing and want to override this
check, you can do so by setting IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH.
In any other case, set the CC environment variable to the
name of the compiler that was used to compile the kernel.

I just ran: make install --ignore-errors
and it appears to have worked fine.
hope this helps,
Mandrake 9.1 is nice. Mjpegtools, libdv avifile, It's almost a real multimedia distro.
I agree. Just moved over from red hat to try a different distro, and I'm very impressed.
The only thing that's bugging me is that I can't get mplayer to compile with the gui (I've installed the libpng packages, but it insists I haven't - nevermind).
