Best Core 2 OC Memory?
What memory would you recommened for me? Im looking to get the highest speeds both in CPU but also want some decent timings. I was looking at these, they look pretty dam good and Mushkin is a great brand...

Re: Best Core 2 OC Memory?
I suggest avoiding Crucial Ballistix....I had problems getting any OC to stick so I RMA'd it for 2gb of Corsair Dominator 1066 and I've had it clocked to 1250Mhz stable for 2 weeks so far. PC10000 friggin flies on this board. I just hope it stays stable lol.

I haven't played with the timings. Thats default for this clock on this board. I should prolly be asking you for suggestions lmao.

Crucial's usually a very good, overclockable memory. |
Re: Best Core 2 OC Memory?
im on 2gb kit of ballistix PC8000 and im running 1066 4-4-4 with 2.35v 24/7
love the stuff, they raised the price back up tho so you might be off finding something else. xtremesystems.org will have some threads with some good info i'd imagine. |
Re: Best Core 2 OC Memory?
I have the Mushkin 8500 in a new build that I am running at 3.15GHz with no problems so far. Stability testing at 9x350 with DDR @ 800MHz before trying to go further. These have Micron D9 chips so I figured that would be a good start.

Re: Best Core 2 OC Memory?
I use the Mushkin you linked and here's a test of them @ X-bit:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mem...dr2-800_7.html I've had mine to DDR2 1100 4-4-4-8 on 965 with 2.45v. I like the fact that they do DDR2 800 3-3-3-4 personally. There is faster memory out there and your are going to pay much more for it. |
Re: Best Core 2 OC Memory?
Has anyone used EEP? It seems to crash my system when i use it. When i say crash i mean the BIOS freezes. GOnna look for a new BIOS for the ASUS P5N32-E
