Re: Kernel options for nvidia driver?
Ok, after searching around, I found this ,
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_nVidia_...ernel_Settings Hope it works. Required Kernel Settings Note: If you built your kernel with genkernel, you should be able to skip this section. Make sure you have the following options enabled: Linux Kernel Configuration: Kernel Configuration Loadable Module Support --->[*] Enable Loadable Module Support Processor Type and Features --->[*] MTRR (Memory Type Range Register) Support AGP support is optional, dependent on your type of graphics card: Linux Kernel Configuration: Kernel Configuration Device Drivers ---> Character devices --->[*] /dev/agpgart (AGP Support) Make sure you have the following options disabled. These options conflict with nVidia's driver: Linux Kernel Configuration: .config Device Drivers ---> Graphics Support ---> < > nVidia Framebuffer Support < > nVidia Riva support If you need help configuring, building, and installing your new kernel, read the official Gentoo kernel guide. |
