Refreshing rate
I Installed: kmod-nvidia-96xx.i686 0:1.0.9631-4.2.6.19_1.2895.fc6 and xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-96xx.i386 0:1.0.9631-5.lvn6 for my nvidia Geforce 4 Mx440 video card.
But now the refreshing rate shown at KDE for my 17" Hansol 720Ed monitor after I installed nvidia on FC6, is 50 Hz (50~56 Hz.), and for nvidia settings [tajin@localhost ~]$ nvidia-settings -q RefreshRate Attribute 'RefreshRate' (localhost.localdomain:0.0; display device: CRT-0): 75.00 Hz. 'RefreshRate' is an integer attribute. 'RefreshRate' is a read-only attribute. 'RefreshRate' is display device specific. 'RefreshRate' can use the following target types: X Screen, GPU. How do I correct this problem?, What's the refreshing rate I am having, what it comes out from nviidiasettings(75.0 Hz) or what it comes from KDE (50.0 Hz)? |

Note: If you disable DynamicTwinView you won't be able to change settings "on the fly" with nvidia-settings. Hope this help. |
Re: Refreshing rate
Thanks Miltiad, my output with xrandr -q as you said is:
[tajin@localhost ~]$ xrandr -q SZ: Pixels Physical Refresh *0 1024 x 768 ( 321mm x 240mm ) *50 51 54 55 56 1 800 x 600 ( 250mm x 188mm ) 52 60 61 62 63 64 2 640 x 480 ( 200mm x 150mm ) 53 69 70 71 72 3 960 x 540 ( 301mm x 169mm ) 57 4 840 x 525 ( 263mm x 164mm ) 58 5 832 x 624 ( 260mm x 195mm ) 59 6 800 x 512 ( 250mm x 160mm ) 65 7 720 x 450 ( 225mm x 141mm ) 66 8 720 x 400 ( 225mm x 125mm ) 67 9 640 x 512 ( 200mm x 160mm ) 68 10 640 x 400 ( 200mm x 125mm ) 73 74 75 76 77 11 640 x 384 ( 200mm x 120mm ) 78 79 80 81 12 640 x 360 ( 200mm x 112mm ) 82 83 84 85 13 640 x 350 ( 200mm x 109mm ) 86 14 576 x 432 ( 180mm x 135mm ) 87 88 89 90 15 576 x 384 ( 180mm x 120mm ) 91 16 512 x 384 ( 160mm x 120mm ) 92 93 94 95 96 17 416 x 312 ( 130mm x 97mm ) 97 18 400 x 300 ( 125mm x 94mm ) 98 99 100 101 102 19 360 x 200 ( 112mm x 62mm ) 103 20 320 x 240 ( 100mm x 75mm ) 104 105 106 107 21 320 x 200 ( 100mm x 62mm ) 108 22 320 x 175 ( 100mm x 54mm ) 109 Current rotation - normal Current reflection - none Rotations possible - normal Reflections possible - none [tajin@localhost ~]$ xdpyinfo | grep dimen dimensions: 1024x768 pixels (321x240 millimeters) [tajin@localhost ~]$ nvidia-settings -q RefreshRate Attribute 'RefreshRate' (localhost.localdomain:0.0; display device: CRT-0): 75.03 Hz. I don't know how to query with nvidia-settings -q RefreshRate both, my display and the monitor. |
