Scaling problem with driver 9631

3 Attachment(s)
First, I have a geforce 4 400go.
The native resolution of my laptop is 1280x800.
When I play a game with a lower resolution (680x480) in fulscreen mode, the scaling is too big. So, It misses a big part of the picture. For example, in supertux 0-13, the writing on the bottom of the screen is not displayed....

With the nvidia driver 8776, all is fine.

PS: The first screenshot shows the problem (there is not small wrting on the bottom of the screen)
The second one is in windowed mode (all is fine)

Bug is still there with driver 96.43.01.
My nvidia graphic card is a geforce 4 440go 64M

Here is a quick way to reproduce the bug:
launch lbreakout2 in fullscreen mode with native resolution 1200x800

Try adding "640x480" to your list of Modes in xorg.conf (and then restarting X).

Re: Scaling problem with driver 9631

How did you determine that the game is running at 640x480?

Also, I'd like to see a new bug report.

THe bug occurs for game played in the resolution 640x480 only. This happens for linux native game (UT2004, Soldier of fortune, Lbreakout2) and for game played in wine (pro evolution soccer 3 demo)
Others resolutions are fine

With the driver serie 8xxx, all is fine too

Re: Scaling problem with driver 9631

You've not explained how you determined that the game is running at 640x480?

You did not correctly edit xorg.conf. You need to specify all the modes that you wish to use:
Modes "1280x800" "640x480"

For Lbreakout2, I guess that 640x480 is the resolution because of the poor graphic quality.

For the other games, I choose this resolution in the menu setting of the game.

PS: what line must I change in my xorg.conf file?
