I bit tired of trying...
I have problems with my nvidia driver. These are the services that i haven't been able to make it work:
* Handling of memory: Suddenly running http://www.beryl-project.org/ I get black windows. This seems a bad handling of memory of the driver. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=84562 * Suspend: coming back from suspend/hibernate in my laptop is very buggy. I also get a black screen where I can only see the pointer. Some people have made it work. I have tried without success. It seems a bit messy. http://wiki.suspend2.net/DistroAndHardwareSetup/Nvidia * Sensors: again a problem. It not only fails, but also avoid other sensors to work properly. http://www.lm-sensors.org/ticket/2158 Is there a roadmap for future releases of the driver? I can understand there is lot of work here. Please open source and let others to work for you! |

By the way its really sad how little features NVidia's Linux driver got over the last years. Except its installer and its superior opengl performance its simply ... sucks! lg Clemens |
