fedora core 6 Hangs
 

hi.....

I tried installing kmod-nvidia n xorg-x11-drv-nvidia on my compaq presario V6106AU laptop running fedora core 6....Before doing so, my X wasn't even loading but after doing so the only difference it made was X was loading properly(using startx from the shell) but when I log out or try to move back to shell it hangs->freezes....

If I change the init scripts to make init 5(X11) as my default login, it doesn't even show me my login screen, it freezes before that.....

I have been behind this problem since days...... please help me out somebody.....
