Installation nvidia drivers on Ubuntu 6.10
 

Hello,

I've got a problem while trying to install nvidia drivers for Geforce FX5500 on Ubuntu 6.10. I've downloaded nvidia drivers "NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7184-pkg1.run" and run script and I've got the following error messages :
-"No Precompiled Kernel interface was found to match your kernel on NVIDIA ftp site"
-"You don't appear to have libc header files installed on your system. Please install your distribution's development package"
--> "Installation has failed"
Nevertheless, I had already tried to install header via apt-get install headers -"uname -r"

Could you help me please?

Thanks, but it works now. In fact I took the wrong drivers.. Water works too but I have got a little trouble when I change workspace window and turn the cube after. I think it comes from my graphic card (not enough performant...)
