Can't get Native 1920x1200 @ 60hz resolution on Dell 2407wfp

1 Attachment(s)
I am using Suse Linux 10.0 and purchased an EVGA e-Geforce FX 5500 with a Dell 2407WFP monitor. I am running VGA because DVI will only give me 1280X1024 through the AGP slot. In VGA I get 1600X1200 @ 60 hz. I have attached a text file that includes my xorg.conf and xorg.0.log.
I have a Windows 2000 partition that sets to the correct resolution.

If this problem persists with the nvidia X driver, please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.

Thanks,
Lonni

Maybe modeline could help you?
See phansiizwe's post in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=343039 .

You should start Yast, select "Online update" and download and install the NVIDIA driver.
Furthermore, your configfile says you want 1600x1200 and so that is what you get. You will need to select the higher resolution in the Yast hardware videocard config.
(or better: forget about that Sax2 thing and edit the xorg.conf yourself. remove all those modelines and resolutions you do not want and put only a 'Modes "1920x1200"' in the Display section)

I couldn't get this to work so I tried openSuse 10.2 and it recognizes the monitor and resolution during install.
