GLX failure with twinview
1 Attachment(s)
hi again -
so everything works fine with twinview on 2 LCDs at different resolutions (DFP-0 at 1440x900 and CRT-0 at 1280x1024) - even got the DFP to be the main window except that the GLX module fails to load, log doesn't say why exactly except that it's not found. Running glxinfo or anything else makes a hard crash and burn. :headexplode: of course without twinview GLX runs excellent with glxgears at 2800fps or something (pimp) attached is the lizogs thanks! sam |
Re: GLX failure with twinview
You have the wrong libglx.so installed:

Re: GLX failure with twinview
wouldn't it fail in non-twinview then?

fixed
you were right, somehow I had a newer version of kmod-nvidia from livna but both that and the old version were installed.
I yum erase'd kmod-nvidia which took xorg-x11-drv-nvidia with it. Then installed again and all is well. So now I have # rpm -qa | grep nvid xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-1.0.9755-3.lvn6 kmod-nvidia-1.0.9755-2.2.6.20_1.2925.fc6 I think something was wrong with livna's dependency setup? ?? <shrug> thanks anyway :maxshoot: |
Re: GLX failure with twinview
Wouldn't what fail in Twinview? You have the wrong GLX module on your system, which means that the NVIDIA driver wasn't installed fully or correctly. The only solution is to (re)install the driver.
