They are thinking to raise the Level cap (finally) could be raised in the sequel to 100 or unlimited!! ,directx10 support , complete new combat system ie.. players will have more control of the character,, jump ,swim .. perhaps oblivion combat style ? and less instances ,they want up to 100 players in the same quest or mission.. perhaps more similar to WOW when it comes to online quest but without the monthly fees . :D

That link says Guild Wars 2 beta in 2008. :( Ohh well, sounds like it could have potential that's for sure.

Oh man FANTASTIC announcement. The original GW was a riot. As long as the PvP stays balanced around competitive team combat, I will be all over it.

I kind of hate it though... personally I would rather spend 50 dollars and be able to keep my characters and items... I invested so much freaking time in the original + expansions... would really hate to start all over :(.

This will only matter if your lvl actually means something. Running around with a top drawer lvl 20 and getting smoked by 5 lvl 10 baddies is not cool. I hope they fix that. Then again if they make this more like WOW I will never play it any way.

Not allowing customers to take their original characters or some benifit from them into a sequal is the #1 mistake of MMO sequals.

Does GW need a sequal already? no

Interseting that they're going to reverse the instancing in GW2... and make more levels, AND leave behind the click to move.

GW2 is going to be a drastic change toward classic MMO design. And, still no monthly fee. How can they make money like this? Why not $5 a month? That would be 1/3 of the standard MMO monthly fee and create a revenue river they could use to support and upgrade the game.

Hopefully they'll put billboards with real-time, dynamically updated ads to make some extra revenue.

i hope gw2 still going to be no monthly fee. the reason i went to gw instead of wow was because its free to play.
