FTP latest.txt not updated
 
Can Nvidia update the Latest.txt to 9755 which I assume is the latest!
ie
ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/latest.txt

It is now set as 1.0-9746 1.0-9746/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run which has been replaced for some time , right?

Tell IT about http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html too.
The new text layout is better, but beginner users still will not understand which driver is right for them. Little note about supported family of GPUs below each driver family would be great:

(example)
Linux IA32
Latest Version: 1.0-9755
For: Geforce FX/Quadro FX/Geforce 6xxx/Geforce 7xxx/Geforce 8xxx
and later

Latest Legacy GPU version (1.0-96xx series): 1.0-9631
For: Geforce 2MX/Geforce 3/Geforce 4 Ti/Geforce 4MX

Latest Legacy GPU version (1.0-71xx series): 1.0-7185
For: Riva TNT/Vanta/Geforce 1/Geforce 2

Additional enhancements to the driver download page are planned in the future. Please don't hijack threads, as this thread is focused on latest.txt.

The file seems to be reverted back to 1.0-9746 when yesterday it was 9755??
obviously something is broken that updates this file

I'm seeing 1.0-9755 in latest.txt. What IP address does download.nvidia.com resolve to for you when you're not seeing 1.0-9755?

It writes this man:
1.0-9746 1.0-9746/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run
I checked it some seconds ago.

You mean the number of ftp://download.nvidia.com?
