Screen tears with drivers

Whenever I click on my settings tab or my nvidia settings task tray to launch the control panel my screen tears. Any idea why this is happening? latest drivers on a 6600 128mb

No, I don't. I cant get it to show up in a screen. It only happens for like a split second.
