96xx series: "display devices is not supported" for TV
I previously use the 8776 driver and all works fine. But since I change for the 96xx (both 9631 and 9639) legacy driver (my card is an gForce4 TI 4200) I can't no more get the TV output. I use the TV output in COMPOSITE in a twinview configuration with a true DFP (DVI cable). The log of Xorg ends always the same :
(II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "800x600,800x600"
(EE) NVIDIA(0): The requested configuration of display devices is not
(EE) NVIDIA(0): supported in the hardware.
I'm sure that the TV is recognize :
(--) NVIDIA(0): Connected display device(s) on GeForce4 Ti 4200 at PCI:1:0:0:
(--) NVIDIA(0): Philips 7104 TV Encoder (TV-0)
(--) NVIDIA(0): DFP-0
(--) NVIDIA(0): Philips 7104 TV Encoder (TV-0): 165.0 MHz maximum pixel clock
(--) NVIDIA(0): TV encoder: Philips 7104
(II) NVIDIA(0): Assigned Display Devices: DFP-0, TV-0
(II) NVIDIA(0): Validated modes:
(II) NVIDIA(0): "800x600,800x600"
(II) NVIDIA(0): Virtual screen size determined to be 800 x 600
I'm now out of idea and I can't find what is the problem. I join my xorg.twinview.conf and the Xorg.log. I put the nvidia-bug-report.log too but I'm not sure it's relevant because the script was not executed during the twinviewed X session (the server abort every time).
thank's a lot for all your works,
