A Quick OC Question!

Hi Guys,
id overclocked my E6400@3000 and system shut down after 10 min. gameplay.windows works fine.
My mobo Asus P5N32 SLI and voltages:
vcore:1.30
NB:1.25
SB:1.55
HT:1.25

Re: A Quick OC Question!

For 3Ghz, stock voltage should be fine, but you could increase it by .5 and see if that helps somewhat.

Re: A Quick OC Question!

Roll back the vcore voltage stock and reduced little bit other voltages.
I reach the 2.90ghz seems stable,i did some bencmark its working but when hit the 3ghz pc shut down again.
i think i missed something :(

Re: A Quick OC Question!

When your OC isn't stable you INCREASE voltages. ;)

Create yourself a signature so that we can tell what your specs are. Kind of hard to help you without knowing what parts you own.

Stock voltage is 1.325 V. Guy from HardOCP suggested a modest increase to 1.35 V for stability. :) But do not cross 1.4 V unless you have decent cooling like a good water cooling set

I use air cooling, and need 1.5v to hit 3.6Ghz. Runs completely stable.
