The screen blinks at times with driver 100.14.11 with a Geforce 7300 GT on Ubuntu Feisty 32bit.

No, this is not a known regression.

How can this problem be reliably reproduced?

Was the attached bug report generated during or immediately after the problem occurred?

If you set NvAGP to 0 in xorg.conf, does that have any impact on the problem?

It happens more frequently under a heavy workload e.g. after running glxgears or after running Compiz Fusion for a while (the screen blinks 2-3 times and then gets back to a normal behaviour, even for hours). I have the same problem even when I don't use Compiz.

I have tried hard to stress the card but I haven't been able to reproduce the problem with agp disabled yet.

This is not an nvidia driver bug if it no longer reproduces with AGP disabled.

I tried enabling AGP and disabling the Triple Buffer option and I'm not able to reproduce the problem.

Do you think it depends on the card or on the driver?

Now that I've tested the card extensively I can confirm that disabling Triple buffer (with AGP enabled) solves the problem.
