GeForce 4MX integrated - openGL configuration issues
1 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
i have an integrated geforce 4 MX on my board, which causes headaches when trying to run OpenGL apps (games). Most of them just show a black screen, and let gdm freeze. (ubuntu feisty 7.04). i have to kill the app manually. I have installed the 9631 driver and tried several device settings in xorg.conf. I don't get any further on this, please see the attached files. thanks, jyrgen ps: maybe a better choice to buy a "real" card ? |

Re: GeForce 4MX integrated - openGL configuration issues
The current legacy graphics driver release for your GPU is 1.0-9639; please check if the problem persists with this driver. Please also check if disabling AGP solves the problem (see ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Li...ppendix-f.html).

Hello,
i have installed 96.39: sudo cat /proc/driver/nvidia/version NVRM version: NVIDIA Linux x86 Kernel Module 1.0-9639 Mon Apr 16 20:20:06 PDT 2007 GCC version: gcc-Version 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4) but the problem remains exactly the same. please find a screenshot of billardGL for example. other (fullscreen or windowed) games turn black and freeze gdm as before. In openGL text items are never being rendered... i also set Option "NvAGP" "0" without success. thanks very much ! jyrgen |
Re: GeForce 4MX integrated - openGL configuration issues
i'm getting the feeling that this must be a hardware failure.
another game (gltron) was terminated because of missing memory. j |
