Unable to install redhat E.S 4.0 in sata drive
Dear Sir,
Iam new to linux. I have recently purchased a system for using Redhat E.S 4.0. My system configuration is AMD 64 3200+, Asus mother board M2N8-VMX, 512 MB DDR 2 RAM, 320 GB SATA II Hard disk. The problem is I'm unable to install the redhat linux in this system, it says there is no hard disk found on your system. I searched on the net and found one command, "linux all-generic-ide noapic nolapic" I gave this command in the boot: It did not ask for the hard disk informations. The installation got completed without any problem. After restarting the system I received the error message like: Bkrootdev: label / not found mount: error 2 mounting ext3 mount: error 2 mounting none switchroot: mount failed : 22 umount /initrd/dev failed : 2 kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init !. Kindly do the needful. Thanks in advance. A.K. Kannan. |
