Can't get xinerama working (getting clone mode)

Hi,

im using twinview at the moment and it works fine.
I will add a third monitor soon though and i want to check if xinerama works.

I looked at other configs and obviously i don't know whats wrong.

Xorg always starts in Clone mode even though i explicitly disabled it.

Here is my xorg.conf:

# nvidia-xconfig: X conf
#iguration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 1.0 (buildmeister@builder3) Wed Jun 13 18:39:30 PDT 2007

Please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log (see the sticky post linked to above for details).

Re: Can't get xinerama working (getting clone mode)

It appears the problem was solved by modifying one of the screen-lines from this:

Screen 0 "Screen0"

to this

Screen 0 "Screen0" 1050 0

Does this make sense? The xorg.0.log does not mention twinview anymore and reports xinerama being enabled, so i guess it's really using xinerama now.
Is there any way to be sure?
I am a little surprised that the window-maximization still works (maximizes on one screen only).

Btw. when i searched the forums i always search the whole body and so i got basically 99% of all the posts as result when i searched for words which everyone has in his posted config. Searching only the subjects was much more helpfull :-)

Re: Can't get xinerama working (getting clone mode)

Did you try using nvidia-settings to set up your config .. I know it works for 2 monitors, but don't have a 3rd to see if it would work there too. Just curious.

regards,
