Old Nvidia Card not working on linux
 

:headexplode: Ok i have an old Nvidia video card and i do mean old and i cant install it on my linux...... ive tried so many times ive logged into root got all that but when it comes down to install it it says i cant cuz im running a x server and nvidia.com support are loser and couldnt help me cuz they dont associate with linux users only windows os so i had to join this forum anyone... plz help anything will help me right now...! :headexplode: <---- thats the point im at right now lol

i have and notihn seems to help me i understand linux i am somewhat new to it...... but i just cant figure it out and ive looked in this whole forum

The forum sticky posts explicitly instruct you with what needs to be done to obtain assistance. Unless you follow those instructions, no one can assist you.

all i need is help turning off the x server but nvidia.com and this forum cant help me what a great support site

Without knowing which Linux distribution you're using, I cannot answer that question. However, the appropriate support group for your Linux distribution certainly could.

see so when i tell you what operating system im using i get no support.......... i dont think Nvidia graphics drivers work for freespire/linspire

Follow the instructions here:

, although you'll need to use the legacy drivers (1.0-7185) instead of the version linked to from that wiki entry.

so when i downloaded the TNT/NT driver for my linux i downloaded the wrong one
