cannot find driver for console framebuffer
 

This is all on Solaris 10 x86 with a Quadro4 NVS with AGP 8x.
I was having problems with my Xserver after I installed some patches so I thought I would reinstall the driver - I rebooted with the -- -r but now everytime solaris starts Nvidia driver looks like its working but now it says

WARNING:consconfig:No screen found

Cannot find driver for console framebuffer

And then it reboots ???? It will not load my Solaris install at all ???

Anybody seen this or know whats going on ???

Update :

I went into Failsafe and replaced the device_aliases file with the default one - this fixed the above problem - it now boots but the Xserver will still not start - now it says

EE No devices detected

Another update:

I fixed the above by installing another driver (older one) but now it says it failed to initilize failed memory buffer - I will make a new thread http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=97137
