If it had to do with temps, why is it stable at 550/700, which gets up to 75+, but gets major screwups at 60-65 degrees at faster speeds...??

I have some liquidcool lying around, but I read that it can be somewhat easy to break one of the circuit boards that is between the two cards if you take them apart... also I've redone TIM on a vid card before... think it might help even though the temps were low when it screws up?
