I have some liquidcool lying around, but I read that it can be somewhat easy to break one of the circuit boards that is between the two cards if you take them apart... also I've redone TIM on a vid card before... think it might help even though the temps were low when it screws up?
Maybe you are hitting the limit of the core....where temp doesnt matter, the speed is causing the errors because the GPU just cannot handle it.
BTW I'm at 600 / 800 on air, rock stable
