Default Re: Install problem :: FC6 64 bits & 7900Gs.

Thanks a lot for your great support G ! it give me some strength back !

In fact i follow your process and it works perfectly, the kernell is now build and i've install the 32 bit lib. i choose to change xconf at reboot with nvidia parameter and i got this error :

WARNING: Unable to determine CorePointer; will rely on X server's built-in default configuration.

At the reboot , i've got the same problem than with the livna-driver. I don't have the logo at startup , i don't have the nvidia control menu. I've just in System Utility the NVIDIA X server Settings, but i can't do anything from it. My xconf.org doesn't mention any nvidia driver ... here it is :

# Xorg configuration created by pyxf86config

Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "Default Layout"
Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection

Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "fr"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "vesa"
EndSection

Section "Screen"

SubSection "Display"

EndSubSection
EndSection

Well i'm afraid linux has decided to make me pay the highest price for using him. But i won't give up this time. Your 100% true the VFX buisnnes is in the Linux/Unix world. I believe you when you'r talking about a true OS. But lot of frustration and desillusion to discover it !

best regards

S.K
