i have a FX5500 plugged into a Samsung SyncMaster 205bw (20" widescreen) via DVI.

using DVI i cannot get a resolution above 1024x768. i'm guessing the video card is getting some misinformation via EDID.

when i use the VGA cable i get only 1680x1050 and cannot change it.

any ideas?
