As 1.0-8776 is no longer supported, if you need further assistance, please clarify the problem, along with a bug report against 1.0-9631 or 1.0-9742.
I'd be happy to go through the trouble of testing this with 1.0-9631 or 1.0-9742
(I can't use your installer because that overwrites libraries - and I've already
needed to buy a new PC(!!!) as a result of that before; see http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...4&postcount=13
but this reply is very inaccurate
The CRT is *NOT* detected. You can clearly see that in my bug report.
The part that you quote doesn't prove that any CRT is detected. The whole
problem is that the EDID doesn't work by the way - but that is not relevant
in this simple case: just assume there is no EDID available.
Obviously - with no monitor detected at all - there is no EDID.
The relevant part of the attached debug log file is:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): No connected display devices detected; assuming 1 CRT
This proves that it does not detect this monitor. After *assuming* that CRT-0
exists, it then continues (immediately) with:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Unable to read EDID for display device CRT-0
which is fine, since it can't read EDID from a non-existent monitor.
