Did you get a driver from another source than Novell/SuSE?
I would think the most recent kernel and driver are always in sync within SuSE's own distribution servers.
The driver came from download.nvidia.com/novell/sle10/i586.
One would think that if nVidia has a driver for a recent kernel release then the kernel would be on the Novell patchlist. However, in my exprerience, nVidia releases thier drivers before Novell releases its kernel. I'm not sure why that is the case.
