Default *** Failed cc sanity check. Bailing out! *** help needed

I just finished to compile a new kernel, and now I'm tring to compile the driver for the video card.
I have a gf2 mx.

I downloaded de drivers, and comlile the GLX with out problems. but wen I try to compile the kernel module I got thist error msg:

sh-2.05# make

You appear to be compiling the NVdriver kernel module with
a compiler different from the one that was used to compile
the running kernel. This may be perfectly fine, but there
are cases where this can lead to unexpected behaviour and
system crashes.

If you know what you are doing and want to override this
check, you can do so by setting IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH.

In any other case, set the CC environment variable to the
name of the compiler that was used to compile the kernel.

*** Failed cc sanity check. Bailing out! ***
make: *** [gcc-check] Error 1

well I now look this:

sh-2.05# cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.4.19 (root@matias) (gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)) #1 Sat Aug 24 20:34:54 ART 2002

sh-2.05# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/2.95.3/specs
gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)

I don't undertand were is the problem?
What can I do?
