I forgot to mention that. If I turn off Composite, mplayer -vo xv plays fine. I tested with some (rather all
) combinations of the two above parameters:
Composite On, NVAGP 0 or 3 : X Freezes
Composite Off, NVAGP 0 or 3 : No freeze (video plays fine).
