I also got the same problem like you and I found another thread where this problem is discussed.

The first workaround is that you use the analog connector instead of the dvi connector. or if you don't need the 3D-acceleration then use the oss-nv-driver.

I'm not happy about these workarounds.

At the moment i use the 1.0-9631 driver (openSuse 10.2 rpm) with analog-connector on my Samsung SyncMaster 940BF and a Gefoce Ti 200.
