Default 1680 x 1050 native res not working

So I've got a 20" Widescreen LCD with a native resolution connected via a 10-foot DVI cable to my Gainax Geforce 5600 FX 256MB Video Card, with Ubuntu 6.10 running GNOME sitting on top. Only problem is that no matter what I do, it won't recognize that resolution as valid! It's stretching 1280 x 1024 to fit the screen right now, and it looks kind of gross, and I really just wish the native resolution would work! I've tried numerous modelines, but all to no least so far, anyway. I've attached a copy of my most recent attempt of an xorg.conf file along with the corresponding Xorg.0.log file.

I really hope there's someone here who can figure it out. Is it just that my card's incompatible? With 256MB of video memory, I wouldn't think so...but I suppose I'm not really an expert on the matter.
