Default Fullscreen problem.

Hi folks,

My env:
- distro: Fedora Core 6
- kernel: 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6
- driver: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run
- card: nVidia Corporation NV28 [GeForce4 Ti 4200 AGP 8x] (rev a1)

My problem:
after a kernel update the fullscreen is shrunken. That is when i start a application in fullscreen (i.e. 'mplayer -fs', or stepmania (a game), etc) the whole screen is black and the application screen is a little central quad only 10x10cm.

Mplayer (a video player) have an option "-zoom", so i can zoom the shrunken fullscreen to proper fullscreen, but another applications does not have such a option.

Any idea, what happened? How to resolve this?
TIA
S.
