The shaders and shadows are not part of the unreal warfare engine.They are inhouse developed by ion storm.They are basically using the unreal toolset and have reworked everything else.All lighting and shadows are made in realtime.Everything casts shadows from a model to a coffee spoon!!DX2 engine goes way beyond what you'll see in unreal 2!!!
Models will be bump-mapped and the amount of detail on them is expected to be on par will doom3's.
