Has anyone been able to get digital audio to work with this, or any other, combo?

I have the SPDIF port on the mobo connected to an A/V receiver. The receiver detects the presence of a device connected to the digital audio input, but it doesn't receive a digital signal.

I do get an analog audio signal from the green audio port on the mobo.

During setup, I tried to change the audio from i810 to nvaudio, but it wouldn't "stick". I'm not even sure if that's the right thing to do.

BTW - I'm a total Linux newb. This is my first time using it.
