Default Re: NVNews Widescreen LCD Club (formally DELL thread)

Well as promised here are some pictures of the Dell 2707WFP. I have a really crappy digital camera so bear with me.

Here are some angle shots

As you can see angle viewing is very good. Comparable to the 2407WFP. The monitor has a very high build quality. Something the the 2407WFP somewhat lacked. Brushed aluminum highlighted by chrome accents and high gloss plastic make for a very attractive exterior.

Image quality is fantastic. Very good color saturation and contrast levels. Again similar to the 2407WFP but without any noticeable banding.

The controller seems to be the same used by the 2407WFP.

I did find some minor back light leakage on the upper and lower left hand side but nothing to distracting. So far no dead pixels are visible and the panel has good uniformity. I found that it takes about 10 minutes for the monitor to fully warm up. The OSD controls are the same as the 2407WFP. Some people were worried about the large dpi specs but at it's native resolution this monitor produces a beautiful desktop. If you can get this monitor for under $1000 I fully recommend it.
