On most of my 3D screensavers I picked up 20+ FPS even at the highest IQ.

i sometimes use 8xAF depends on what games i am playing.
i use 2x AA at most now, higher resolution looks much better than higher AA in lower resolution to me, 4xAA at 1024x768 usually runs as fast as 2xAA at 1280x960.
