I am looking at doing a minimal Linux OS build that incorporates the latest NVIDIA drivers and Cg for a machine with a GeForce 8800GTX. This machine will be completely dedicated to rendering images to the offscreen framebuffer. Has anyone done this before and/or could provide assistant as to how to get started?
